MyPetDay is a pet care tracking app that helps you and your family keep track of daily tasks for your pets. You can log feedings, walks, medications, and more. Everyone in your household can see what's been done, so you never wonder "Did someone already feed the dog?"
We use 6-digit codes instead of passwords. Just enter your email address and click "Continue with Email." We'll send you an email with a 6-digit code. Enter that code on the next screen and you'll be signed in. No password to remember!
First, check your spam or junk folder - the email might be there. If you still don't see it after a few minutes, try clicking "Resend code" to get a new one. Make sure you're entering the same email address you used when you first signed up.
The first time you enter your email address, we'll automatically create an account for you. There's no separate sign-up process - just enter your email and you're ready to go!
From your dashboard, find your pet and tap the button for the task you want to log (like "Fed" or "Walk"). The button will turn green to show it's done. That's it!
Yes! If you tap a task by accident, you can tap it again within 5 minutes to undo it. After 5 minutes, the undo option goes away to keep your records accurate.
Yes! When you log a task, everyone in your household sees it right away. This helps your family coordinate and avoid doing the same task twice.
Tasks reset every day at 4:00 AM in your timezone. So each morning, you start fresh with all tasks ready to be logged again. Your past task history is saved and can be viewed in your pet's profile.
There are 10 types: General (water, treats, playtime), Walk (outdoor walks with duration tracking), Food (meals with portion tracking and meal labels), Medication (prescribed medicines with dosage), Supplement (vitamins and health supplements), Grooming (brushing, nail trims, baths), Preventative (monthly treatments like heartworm or flea prevention), Enrichment (mental stimulation activities like puzzle feeders, kongs, and nosework), Cleaning (pet equipment maintenance like bowls, bedding, litter box), and Training (training sessions with duration tracking).
Use Food tasks when you want to track how much your pet is eating (like "1 cup kibble") and which meal it was (breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snack). Use General for simple yes/no tasks like "gave a treat" where the amount doesn't matter.
Enrichment tasks track mental stimulation activities for your pet. When logging an enrichment task, you can specify the type of activity: puzzle feeder, bone, kong, lick mat, or nosework. This helps you track which activities your pet enjoys and ensure they get regular mental exercise.
For preventative tasks (like monthly flea treatment), you can set either a repeat interval (every 30 days) or a specific date. The app will show you when the next dose is due based on when you last logged it.
Cleaning tasks help you track when pet equipment needs maintenance. You can log cleaning for food bowls, water bowls, bedding, kennels, crates, litter boxes, toys, and grooming tools. This helps ensure everything stays hygienic for your pet.
Training tasks let you track training sessions with your pet, including how long each session lasted. This is great for tracking progress on obedience, tricks, or behavior training over time.
Go to Household from your dashboard, then tap "Invite Member." Enter their email address and choose their role. They'll receive an email invitation to join your household.
Owner: Full control - can manage members, change settings, and delete pets. Member: Can log tasks, add pets, and view everything. Restricted: Can only log tasks - great for pet sitters or children who shouldn't be able to change settings.
Absolutely! You have two options: (1) Invite them with the "Restricted" role so they can log tasks (you'll see when they fed or walked your pet). (2) Create a Guest Link for view-only access - they see your pet's info but can't log anything. Use Restricted for regular sitters, Guest Links for one-time or occasional helpers.
When you invite someone, they receive an email with a link. They click the link, sign in with their email, and they're added to your household. Invitations expire after 7 days if not used.
Yes! Free plans can create 1 household, while Plus and Family plans can create up to 2 households. This is useful for vacation homes with different feeding schedules, managing pet sitting for friends or family, keeping work pets separate from home pets, or coordinating care when pets split time between locations (like shared custody situations). Each household has its own pets, members, tasks, and subscription.
Click the household switcher in the top navigation bar. You'll see all households you belong to - both ones you created and ones you've been invited to join. Tap any household to switch to it. Your current household is marked with a checkmark.
Yes! You can join any household you're invited to, regardless of your subscription plan. You might own a free household for your own pets while also being a member of a friend's household to help care for their pets. You can be a member of up to 5 households total (including ones you create).
Boarding Instructions (free) - a care guide for pet sitters with enrichment activities. Pet Health History (Plus plan) - comprehensive history with conditions timeline, medications, feeding schedule, preventative care status, upcoming appointments, and vaccination history. Daily Care Summary (Plus plan) - detailed feeding, medication, and health info.
Go to Documents from your dashboard, select your pets, and choose a report type. The report opens in a new window. From there, use your browser's print function (usually Ctrl+P or Cmd+P) to print it or save it as a PDF.
Boarding Instructions: For pet sitters and kennels - shows daily routine, enrichment activities, and emergency contacts. Pet Health History: For checkups, sick visits, and ongoing health issues - includes conditions with notes timeline, current medications and supplements, feeding schedule with portions, preventative care status, upcoming appointments, and vaccination history. Daily Care Summary: For groomers and quick references - includes medications, supplements, and recent health notes.
Go to Settings from your dashboard. You'll see a Timezone dropdown where you can select your time zone.
Your timezone determines when each "day" starts and ends. Tasks reset at 4:00 AM in your timezone. This matters for overnight tasks and making sure your task history is recorded on the correct day.
Go to Settings and scroll to "Contact Info for Reports." You can add your phone number and address there. Check the boxes to choose which info appears on your printed reports.
Go to Settings and scroll to the bottom where you'll see "Danger Zone." Click "Delete Account" and confirm. This permanently removes your account and cannot be undone. Your task history will be anonymized but not deleted.
Go to your pet's profile and tap on the photo area or the camera icon. You can upload a photo from your device. The image will be automatically optimized for fast loading while keeping great quality.
Photos are securely stored and automatically optimized for web viewing. Your pet's photo will appear on their profile card on the dashboard, in reports, and on their individual profile page.
Yes! Go to your pet's profile and tap on the existing photo to upload a new one. The old photo will be replaced with the new one.
Go to your pet's profile and tap on "Vaccinations." You can add each vaccine with the date given, veterinarian, and when it's next due. The app will show you upcoming vaccinations so nothing gets missed.
Vaccines are organized into three categories: Core (required vaccines like Rabies), Non-Core (optional based on lifestyle), and Lifestyle (based on your pet's activities and environment).
Yes! The vaccination section shows your complete history sorted by date. You can also include this information in your vet summary reports. Vaccination tracking is available on Plus and Family plans.
Health notes let you track symptoms and conditions your pet is experiencing - things like limping, vomiting, appetite changes, or behavior issues. You can add observations and mark them resolved when the issue clears up. This creates a timeline that's helpful for vet visits.
Go to your pet's profile and tap "Add Note." Select the condition from the list (like "Limping" or "Vomiting") and add any observations. The note will show on your pet's profile until you mark it resolved.
You can track common issues like limping, appetite changes, vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, coughing, sneezing, scratching, eye discharge, ear issues, skin issues, and behavior changes. There's also an "Other" option for anything else.
When you visit the vet, you can show them a timeline of your pet's symptoms - when they started, how long they lasted, and your observations. The Pet Health History includes a conditions section with the full notes timeline in a printable format.
Go to your pet's profile and find the Weight section. You can log weight entries with the date and optional notes. Over time, this builds a chart showing your pet's weight trends.
Weight changes can indicate health issues. A gradual gain might mean your pet needs more exercise or less food. Sudden loss could signal a health problem. The weight chart makes it easy to spot trends and share history with your vet.
You can track weight in either pounds (lbs) or kilograms (kg). The app will display a chart of your entries over time. Weight tracking is available on Plus and Family plans.
From your dashboard, tap the calendar icon or go to your pet's profile and find the Appointments section. Choose the type (vet, grooming, boarding, or other), pick a date and time, and add any notes.
You can receive email reminders before appointments. Go to Settings, then Reminders, to choose how many days before you'd like to be notified - like 1 day before or 1 week before.
Yes! Your dashboard shows upcoming appointments for all your pets. You can also view appointments on each pet's individual profile page, including a separate section for missed appointments that have passed.
Achievements are badges you earn for taking great care of your pets. Complete all daily tasks for a week to earn a streak badge. Log your 100th task to hit a milestone. Fill out your pet's full profile. They're a fun way to celebrate your dedication!
A streak counts consecutive days where you complete all your pet's daily tasks. Miss a day and your streak resets. The app tracks your current streak and your longest streak ever. Earn special badges at 7 days, 30 days, and beyond!
Go to Settings, then "Achievements" to see all available badges, which ones you've earned, and your progress toward the next ones.
The leaderboard shows who in your household has completed the most pet care tasks. It displays weekly heroes on your dashboard and a full breakdown in the Household section. The leaderboard is available on Plus and Family plans.
When you're preparing for boarding or travel, the packing checklist helps you remember everything your pet needs - food, bowls, medications, favorite toys, vaccination records, and more. Check items off as you pack.
Go to your pet's profile and find the Packing Checklist section. The app pre-populates common items based on your pet's species, but you can add or remove items to match your needs. Packing checklists are available on Plus and Family plans.
Guest links let you share your pet's care information with pet sitters, dog walkers, or anyone who needs temporary access. They can view your pet's profile, tasks, and care instructions without creating an account.
Go to Settings, then "Guest Sharing." Tap "Create Link" and choose which pets to share. Give it a name (like "Pet Sitter - January") and choose how long it should last (1 day to 1 month). The link is automatically copied to your clipboard when created.
Guest links are view-only. If you want someone to log tasks, invite them as a household member with the "Restricted" role instead. Guest links are available on Plus and Family plans.
Go to Settings, then "Guest Sharing" to see all your active links. You can see when each link expires, how many times it's been viewed, and revoke access instantly by clicking the trash icon.
Care reminders send you email notifications before scheduled tasks are due. You can set how many minutes before a task to be reminded. Great for medications that need to be given at specific times.
Email digests are summary emails sent weekly or monthly with your household's pet care activity. They include tasks completed, any health notes logged, and upcoming preventative care due dates.
Go to Settings, then "Reminders & Digests." You can enable task reminders, choose digest frequency (weekly, monthly, or both), and set your preferred day and time to receive them. These features are available on Plus and Family plans.
If you've added your pet's birthdate or gotcha day (adoption anniversary), you'll receive an email reminder when the date is coming up. Don't know the exact birthdate? You can enter an approximate age when adding your pet, or use your gotcha day instead - it's just as special!
The activity feed shows recent actions in your household - when tasks were logged, pets were updated, or members joined. It's a quick way to see what everyone has been doing without checking each pet individually.
On the Free plan, you can see the last 7 days of activity. Plus plans show 90 days, and Family plans have unlimited history.
We offer three plans: Free (1 pet, 1 member, create 1 household, basic features), Plus (5 pets, 5 members, create 2 households, all features), and Family (unlimited pets and members, create 2 households). All plans let you join up to 5 households total. Visit the Upgrade page from your dashboard to compare plans.
The Free plan includes all basic task logging and the boarding report. Upgrade when you need more pets, household members, additional households, or premium features like vaccination tracking, guest links, and email digests.
Go to Settings, then "Subscription" to view your current plan, upgrade, or manage billing. You can change plans at any time and changes take effect immediately.
If you downgrade to a plan with fewer household limits, you'll keep access to all existing households but won't be able to create new ones until you're within the limit. You can delete households you no longer need from the household switcher menu.
